This is an oval silver dog tag issued to new recruits who enlisted in Paris, France. It has the Regimental number 166657 on the reverse. The front has the head profile of a French female on it and the reserse has PARIS and 166657. As you can see in the photo it is very small at just over 3/4 inch high (20mm) and 9/16 inch at the widest (14mm). T is no maker's mark on it. Nor are t any hallmarks, but it was tested as sterling silver. As near as I can find out these were used in World War I only. Shipping & Handling in Canada will be $2.01.
