This is a One of a Kind, original photo of Frank Sinatra and Toots Shor, given to me personally by Sonny King.It is mounted on the original antique composite fiberboard with simulated wood grain laminated overlay plaque. The material is similar to an old clipboard or knock hockey table surface- perhaps a masonite of some type.The photo measures 10.5 by 13.5 inches (borderless 11 by 14).Sonny King was a well known tenor on the national night club circuit in the 40s through 60s, and often worked the big rooms in the Las Vegas of yesteryear with Jimmy Durante and Peter Lawford. He was Dean Martin's roommate at the Bryant Hotel in NYC in 1945 before Dean hooked up with Jerry Lewis the following year in Atlantic City at Skinny D'Amato's 500 Club. Sonny also appeared in the Rat Pack picture "Robin and the 7 Hoods" as one of Sinatra's seven gangster buddies- he was the one who was always knitting. He was good friends with both Frank and Dean, as well as Keely Smith, for his entire life.I am a professional television editor, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for my 1999 A&E Biography of the Rat Pack.This photo was used as artwork in that program.I do not know the exact date of the photo or who shot it, but I believe it to be by a premier photographer of the day.
