This is the fourth annual Franklin Mint Thanksgiving Plate issued in 1975. Serial No. 958. It was produced in solid sterling silver by The Franklin Mint. The plate bears an etching of the original work entitled "Family Thanksgiving," created by Stevan Dohanos expressly for this limited edition. The plate is 8" in diameter. It is protected with a high-quality transparent coating and with normal care, will not tarnish. The plate comes in a library slipcase which was designed for convenient bookshelf storage or shelf display. The slipcase measures 10" by 10 1/2" and 2" deep. The plate comes with the certificate of authenticity, a brochure, and a letter from the Franklin Mint as well as the library slipcase and white box. The plate depicts a family with two children giving the blessing over their Thanksgiving dinner. The detail is extraordinary. It was very difficult to photograph due to the shine and reflection on the plate.
