"MOM'S OLD TRAIN"This is a Frankoma train bank that was commissioned to Frankoma by me in 2009. The idea of a train bank came to me from a toy train my Mother had since childhood. Mom received the train in 1921 and loved it and took good care of the train. I received the train after my Mother's death in 2002. The train mold was made by Cecil Kirkwood, the master mold maker at Frankoma, in a replica of "Mom's Old Train". I own the mold of "Mom's Old Train" and Frankoma made the trains for me. Mr. Kirkwood's initials, my initials and the Frankoma mark are embossed on the train. I also initial and date the train with a permanent marker. The certificate, which tells the story, and the train are initialed by me which reflects the authenticity of the train. "Mom's Old Train" is made as banks and bank pocket watch holders. This is a train bank that is 4 1/2 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide, 4 inches tall and is prairie green in color. Thank you for lookingPlease visit my other auctions
