Fred Sitzler Paso Fino / Thoroughbred Horse Painting, Signed, 10 high x 7-7/8 inches wide c. 1970-90This beautiful signed Horse Painting is by artist Fred Sitzler ( 1949-1990 ). The painting depicts a single horse in a mountainous landscape and is signed in the lower right ,"Fred Sitzler." We aren't familiar with horses, but someone who is told us this looks like a chestnut Paso Fino, with elements of Arabian and Quarterhorse. The unframed painting on canvas board measures 10 high x 7-7/8 inches wide . Given some small areas of paint loss on the edges, this Fred Sitzler painting is in very good condition. (See photos)C. Fred Sitzler, Jr., ( 1949-1990 ) was born in Pittsburgh and worked in the New York and New Jersey area. In New York City he attended the Art Students League, the Parsons School of Design and the Grand Central School of Art. He specialized in paintings of dogs and thoroughbred horses, many of which were commissioned, as well as human portrait subjects.Shipping includes packing and insurance covering amount of item cost, in the U.S., via UPS.
