Up for auction is a one of its kind, Detailed and Built Wayside Freight Station from Atlas parts. If you can use a "drop in" piece for an area of your layout, that is "aged" and ready to go, complete with"landscaping" I hope you will consider this station. This station functioned as a rural station handling both small amounts of freight and occasional passenger/s. Later in life as the need for rural stations diminished, the railroads sometimes utilized these modest stations as storage buildings for rail right-a-way items/supplies. Features of this station include: A "metal" roof A solid sliding freight door, secured in place, has replaced a double door with windows on one side of the station Freight station and roof have been weathered to replicate an older version of a station that has been in use for quite some time A wooden platform and ramp Various small freight items including barrels and a pile of RR ties, a broken door by the ramp and a track section, all secured in place Grass clumps, grass and some taller grass/weeds have been added and are growing around/near the station platform and ramp All windows have been treated to plastic "glass" inserts and black paper backing (no see thru) Two advertisements for this station, a rare LORD BALTIMORE CIGARS on one side and a TEXACO Oil on the opposite side, both of which read more
