(5) French Anti-Semitic Jewish occupations 1900 RARE Jewish Interest #188 Very early cards published about 1900 Paris undivided backs were made between 1898 and 1904 unused a few have very minor defects generally EXCELLENT CONDITION. Cards from this period in this condition are VERY VERY RARE and this is one of the few series of cards dealing with jewish Occupations. I am continuing the sale of the Jewish postcard collection this will be the next to the last week as I have about 30 lots left to sell.... YES I tried to save some of the best for last. There are severtal very nice cards this week and thius is the first time I am selling Sunday Night as once again we are expecting snow and I will not be able to list Monday or Tuesday. You don't want to miss these last two weeks as it will be finished soon and I have no more cards from this part of the collection. GRADING CHART Mint: a perfect card with perfect corners and perfect gloss Stamped cards that have been mailed can only get the high grade of nearly Mint Nearly mint: like mint only one will need magnification to spot any defects so mint to the eye but small defects are Permitted, very light wear to surface or corners, sign of edges having been in an album NO CREASES TEARS OR DEFECTS that are clearly visible there may be writing on the back or a stamp Excellent: A card that looks excellent has no visible creases, and only very minor defects NO markings or writing and good corners that can show only light handling This is generally considered to be collector grade card especially for RARE cards Very good: a card that appears in very good condition small surface gloss defects are allowed unobtrusive postal bleeding is allowed, corners can be slightly soft or lightly worn With cards that have undivided backs writing may be permitted on the front as this was the only place for a message at the time.
