Up for auction is a lovely antique French Porcelain Potpourri covered Urn/Vase. It measures 12" high, and 5" across from handle to handle. It is exquistively designed with ormolu mounts at the base, top, handles, and finial. White/Ivory background with beautiful handpainted portrait of a Victorian couple on the front encircled with gold designs. The back has a lovely moss rose with tiny flowers which is also encircled by gold. On the sides and around are small sprays of colorful flowers, with gold scroll trim on top and base. It sits on a very ornated metal base with scroll legs and 4 arches (one on each side) of a spray of gold flowers. The metal on top of the jar is pierced so you will be able to smell the aroma of the potpourri if chosen to use as so. The handles are also very ornated with faces of a lady on each side, and the cover has gold scroll design with an acorn finial. It's in excellent condition. T are no chips, cracks or repairs. It's truly a beautiful antique urn that would add beauty to any room setting. T are no markings.
