Two Frontline 17 th (Duke of Cambridge ’s Own) Lancers . Long retired. BCL 1 – Lancer Type 1; BCL 3 – Lancer Type 3 with Lance forward . Superbly animated figures reflecting the attention to detail by Frontline as the 17th Lancers were in the first line to reach the Russian guns. They suffered heavy losses once in close. Troopers and horses rated excellent with weapons and accoutrements intact. However, minor chipping can be found on leg of horse for BCL 3 and both lances have minor paint loss from contact point with hand. Correct boxes, packing inserts and limited edition authenticity cards. Note to Bidders: This is from the Charge of the Light Brigade diorama of a friend in Texas. Listings over the remaining two week period will include British personality figures, and British Cavalry regiments of numerous figures with officers, buglers and NCO's. The listings will also include Russian Horse Artillery gun sections with crews as well as the Russian 24th Regiment. As this was a "terrain based" diorama, many horses have flocking and collector applied Testors green paints on the bases. These modifications are not permanent. Collector tested removal techniques using Cutex nail polish remover to remove flocking without damage. Testors thinner was also applied to remove the paint, and did not effect the original Frontline base color.
