Two Frontline Personality Figures. First Personality figure is BCP 5 - Lord Raglan, Earl of Somerset , Commander In Chief, British Forces in the Crimea . Seldom seen on Ebay. Long retired. Figure and horse excellent to near mint with all accoutrements intact. As it was a series of ill conceived orders from Raglan which led the Light Brigade into “the valley of death,” the pose of this figure tells a lot. It is almost as if he is leaning forward and cannot believe what is unfolding in front of his eyes. Wellington he was not. Second personality figure is BCP 4 The Earl of Lucan, Commanding the Cavalry Division . Lucan received Raglan’s orders but only sent forward the Light Brigade. As he observed the fight, he simply decided there was no point in taking the Heavy Brigade down the valley. Lucan and Cardigan were brothers-in-law and wouldn’t speak other than in the line of duty. Nice command structure! Both figures have their original boxes with all packing inserts and limited edition certificates of authenticity. Note to Bidders: This is from the Charge of the Light Brigade diorama of a friend in Texas. Listings over the remaining four week period will include British personality figures, and British Cavalry regiments of numerous figures with officers, buglers and NCO's. The listings will also include Russian Horse Artillery gun read more
