The blade is traditionally hand forged (6-stage process) and heat tempered 1045 high carbon steel. The sword can be used for cutting exercises and practice and can be disassembled for cleaning. Cleaning and polishing kit is included. Features: Overall length with scabbard: 40" 1/2 Blade length: 28 1/2" Handle length: 10 3/4" Sword Handle: Solid wood wrapped in imitation ray skin Blade material: Heat tempered 1045 high carbon steel with visible hamon Hardness: .HRC 50 on edge, HRC 40 on back.
