Shadowed background in blue is smoothly going to white. Looks splendid. Initials of production painter are printed on the backside. Unfortunately, we do not know the name of this artist. There are also décor and form production numbers printed in green on the backside. Bing & Grondahl (B&G) was founded in 1853 and existed until 1987, when Royal Copenhagen merged with Bing and Grondahl. B & G, Bing & Grondahl refer to the founders: Fred. Vilh. Grøndahl (1819-1856), technical director; the brothers M.H. Bing (1819 - 1883) and J.H. Bing (1811 -1896) as economical directors. This figurine is marked with three towers in green. This hallmark comes from the City Coat of Arms of Copenhagen. ‘B&G’ printed below the tower in green, ‘Copenhagen Porcelain’ and ‘Made In Denmark’ identify production of 1970-1983. Vase measures about 2 ¾” in its widest diameter and stands 5 ¼” (13 cm) tall. Thank you and enjoy your day :)
