Gemstone, Red Dragon Scale Jasper Snuff Bottle A rare gemstone, red dragon scale jasper, has been used in jewelry for centuries. It has been only the last decade that once in a blue moon this gemstone has been used for a snuff bottle. Several years ago we had ten designed and carved by a very good lapidary shop in China. A few were sold at trade shows and we have only a few left. When these are gone you may never see them again in a snuff bottle. T is also a green variety that has been seen in jewelry rarely. This gemstone red dragon scale jasper snuff bottle has been hand carved in a modified shield shape. It is well hollowed and has a raised flat base. The hand carved top is red jasper and the naturally colored hand carved spoon is water buffalo bone. Height: 6.27 cm. Width: 3.24cm. Depth: 1.52 cm.
