Charming genre miniature painting depicting the interior of a barn where a gentleman in 18th Century costume is getting ready to mount his horse while another one, already on horseback, waits. They are surrounded by other horses, a groom, a child with a goat, hens, a rooster and a dog. Outside the barn you can see haystacks and farm-hands. The painting is about twice the size of a standard miniature, it is signed by the artist (illegible) and protected by a convex glass. The miniature is framed in black wood with a bronze border surrounding the image. It has a ring on the upper edge of the frame and is ready to hang on the wall.
