The Original French Camera Lucida from the Morilla Company. This is the UNIVERSAL model with 12 lenses, in velvet lined case. Original description from an advertisement (that is included) reads, "Accurate, Practical, precision instrument with a wide range of leses, telescopic slide tube construction. Permits the smallest reductions with complete clarity. Simple to operate. Like all good things the French Camera Lucida is often imitated...but never duplicated. Be sure it's the original - the French!". Yes...that is what the advertisement actually reads...it will be included to who ever wins the auction. Grandfather was not only a photographer (if you have been following my actions in the last week)...but a artist also. This Camera Lucida is used...but is still in good working order. Lenses will need some slight cleaning, all have some very slight chips around the edges, none are cracked...and yes...all 12 are included. All mechanical parts move freely and work well. Case does have wear around the edges and corners. The hindge...not sure if it is worn, or if it is supposed to operate in the way it does...the material holding the hindge is loose...but not broken off.
