An old antique bayonet (sword) that I was told was a German M1871.An old antique bayonet (sword) that I've been told was a German M1871. It seems to be in good condition for it's age. It has brass handles and at the end of the handle is has a button that pushes in and springs back. At the base of the handle it has "52.R.R.3.84." and on the scabbard it has "52.R.R.2.179." that should show up in the photos. The bayonet and scabbard seems to be in good condition . The blade measures approx. 18 1/2" long and overall the bayonet is approx. 23 1/2" long. On the top edge of the sword blade it has what looks like a crown with a "W 75" and underneath that at the very base of the blade it has crown trademark symbol. It comes with the original leather scabbard and it measures approx. 24 3/4" overall when it's all together. The scabbard is in good condition . Sold as is.
