The grips are in excellent shape. The blade and the scabbard are matching with stamping, 5717h. The blade top has stamping date 38. The other side of the blade has stamping, F.HERDER A.SN. The blade is in minty shape. It has about 97% of the blue finish remaining. The pommel and the flash guard have 99% of the blued finish remaining. The guard has a purplish type bluing; it remains about 90%. The scabbard has around 95% of the blue remaining and a few areas of light corrosion. The leather frog is dated 1938, maker marked, and in excellent shape.
