GI Joe, 1964, Navy, with accessories, original box, insignia stickers, and manuals I ordered this GI Joe in 1964 from Montgomery Wards mail order catalog. I played with this GI Joe during 1964-1965 and then put him away in a box and now he is offered here. He is near "mint"; being lightly played with since my heavy play was with my other "Army" GI Joe listed in a separate auction. I have tried to choose pictures to show both his good points and defects. The "pants down" photo shows the 1964 date (no cracks except of course the one that is molded into his butt). I have not removed his clothing any more than to take this photo so I do not know the state of the rest of his body. The accessories are in generally good condition but there is some minor wear, for example, the extra shirt is quite worn and the sailor's caps have hardened (like me, they use to be flexible). There could be more small issues that are not apparent in the photos that I am unaware of. The insignia stickers have not been used. The manuals are all original 1964; the "Boot Removal" instructions are printed (not typed). The box is the original and has photos of all the sides; there is some wear and peeling as seen in the photos. I did not write on this box (like I did on my Army GI Joe box, see my other auction).
