Comprising the Natural History of Selborne; The Naturalist's Calendar; And Miscellaneous Observations, Extracted from his Papers; . To Which are added, a Calendar and Observations by W. Markwick. London: Printed for J. White, 1802. Two volumes First collected edition. Size Tall 8vo viii, 392; 300pp; with index. With a frontis and 3 plates (2 of which are coloured & three are foldout). Bound in a blue cloth binding, with gilt title to spine. Some rubbing to edges, with spines slightly faded, & a little nicked at ends. Inside a few marks & little nicks. A couple of areas lightly stained. Hand coloured plates. This is the first collected edition and comprises mainly White's most famous work The Natural History of Selborne, originally published in 1798, in what is essentially its second edition. While the Works omits the Antiquities, it does have A Calendar and Observations by W. Markwick added.
