Gillinder Covered Glass Compote Frosted Lion Antique Gillinder Covered Glass Compote Frosted Lion Antique clear glass serving compote bowl base is frosted glass with 3 embossed lion heads the lid of the dish has a twisted rim the frosted glass base has a scalloped edge this has a frosted glass lion head on the top I believe this was made by Gillinder & Sons in the latter part of the 1800's and is Early American pattern Glass unmarked measures 5" in diameter at the base 8 3/4" by 5 1/2" at the top of the bowl 9" high with the lion on top please check our other auctions for more special glass and other pieces of glass by Gillinder and Sons very good condition slight roughness at the bottom of the clear section rim and a scratch in the top of the bowl An invoice will be sent shortly after the auction.
