These colorful Goebel porcelain salt and pepper shakers are a man and woman dressed in Dutch/Holland garb. Goebel orange on clothes, yellow hat on man, white cap on woman, black shoes on both. Original corks in bottoms. He has 7 holes, she has 5 - which is the pre-war configuration. Stamped "Germany" in black and incised P20 A and B. Shown on p. 61 of McHugh's "Goebel Salt & Pepper Shakers Guide". Styled by Erich Lautensack in 1936. In excellent condition, considering their age.
