A superb gold half hunter cased pocket watch, with a quality 17 Jewel Swiss lever movement, dating to c1910, in good condition and good working order, keeping good time. The gold filled case is in good condition, hinges tight and covers lock shut, the front cover springs open when the crown is pressed. The rear and inner covers are marked the same 'FORTUNE GOLD FILLED A.W.C.CO CASE MADE IN CANADA , GUARANTEED 20 YEARS' and numbered '3232326. The blue enamel Roman numerals on the front cover are in good condition. The case is 50mm overall diameter, ignoring the stem. The enamel dial is in excellent condition, no chips or hairlines, and is marked 'SWISS MADE'. The acrylic crystals are in good condition. The quality 17 Jewel decorative silvered lever movement is in good condition and good working order, keeping good time (runs for over 24 hours from full wind). The movement is marked 'SWISS, 17 JEWELS, 4 ADJUSTMENTS, U.S.A. PAT. MAY.24.1904' and also marked 'REF.998 PAT. APPL FOR' next to the balance wheel. The movement is stem wind and set which work fine. Good example.
