For your consideration is a gorgeous unpolished coin set in 14k two tone bail. This is a fresh coin just brought in by a customer in even more luster. The Coin can be easily removed if you wish to have it graded. I bought this from a business based out of Salisbury Maryland, not to far from where I lived. They now sell online and you can get this great coin at a fraction of the cost. Shipping quote is only an estimate! This gold **1/2** escudo coin is guaranteed authentic. It is struck in .917 fine gold with a weight of 1.6900 g./.0498 oz. Size: 15 mm /Mint Mark: Crowned M. The front features Philip V! The reverse has Spanish crowned coat of arms. During the Colonial era, this coin would have been = to $ 1 USD.The "escudo" is a type of Spanish gold coin minted in 1/2, 1, 2, 4 and 8 escudo denominations. The words escudo and doubloon, are synonymous in today's world for all Spanish gold coins of the era.
