Large 20" Catholic Statue of The Blessed Virgin Mary " Our Lady of Fatima " with Jewels in her mantle and a METAL Jeweled Crown (Also sometimes called the "Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima") This lovely statue of Mary measures 20" tall including the crown or 17 1/2" with the crown removed.. I've taken several photos so that you can see how beautiful the statue is. Still, I still had trouble capturing the beauty. Mary's expression is so sweet and heavenly. The statue is beautiful. Mary has brown glass eyes . T are magnficant gold decorations coming all of the way down her mantle, and also sparkling rhinestone jewels. It looks so elegant!! She has her hands folded in prayer. T is a silver and gold rosary hanging by her side. The painting is wonderful! The skin color is very lifelike. It was made in Fatima, Portugal w Our Blessed Mother appeared to the 3 children in 1917. This would be wonderful for a shrine to Our Lady. A great size for making a May Altar in your home or just setting up in a special place w you pray the rosary. It is basically in good condition. T is a place on the left side of Mary's head w the paint is chipping off (about 1/4" x 2/3" spot). This is not seen when looking at the statue from the normal angles (and it really isn't that bad even if you're looking right at it since the color underneath is fairly similar to the paint color).This could be taken care of with a little white paint from the craft store. Mary is wearing a magnificant metal filigree crown with jewels in it. Its very pretty. 2 of the small red rhinestones are missing, but they aren't very noticable. You could probably replace them with some from the craft store if you wished. And, lastly, the tail is broken off of the dove that sits in the center at the bottom of the statue. You could leave it as is, or I've "repaired" a similar statue once by removing the bird (it comes off fairly easily) and placing a white rose t - it looked really nice!
