On the inside, as shown by my picture, is the following: GORHAM, A LION, ANCHOR, G, STERLING, 1232. I don't know what the pattern is, but it's like a group of scroll lines with tiny balls on the ends, plus a flower in the pattern. The napkin ring is engraved with the name TOM. I cleaned the napking ring and it is very nice and shiny. The darkness in the TOM picture is just a shadow. The diameter across the opening is 1 3/4", and the width of the band is 1 1/8".
