ORIGINAL PLAYBOY ARTWORK - The October 1970 issue of Playboy Magazine featured an article on Transport in the future - and this original Gray Morrow artwork was used in this issue. See the folded magazine which photo shows the image in print. Overall size is Approx. 22 x 24 board size with an approx. image size of 17 x 20 inches. It was purchased at the Playboy art auction in the 1990's for over $2,000.00 at Butterfield's and have been in storage ever since I obtained them. The color on the piece is wonderful for its age. In the photos you see the overall image and then several close-ups, plus the double image of the print in the magazine. The actual magazine is not included in this sale, but back issues can be easily obtained on ebay. It is a striking and sexy piece for the Playboy collector or lover of all things space age and futuristic - not to mention Gray Morrow fans. Gray Morrow was an American Illustrator. I hate to let this piece as I paid much more for it, but need the money for a software project. Signed by Gray Morrow. See my other listings for the companion piece which is also for sale.Dwight Graydon "Gray" Morrow [ 1 ] (March 7, 1934 - November 6, 2001) [ 2 ] was an American illustrator of comics and paperback books .
