I have just purchased another collection of about 150 Great Lakes books. Many are new or nearly new; others are gently used. Postage will be $3.00 each unless otherwise noted...and I am happy to combine shipping. For many years one of the basic reference books about Great Lakes shipping was the annual directory published by the International Ship Masters Association. These 6" by 9" volumes each had from 300 to 450 pages filled with information about the members of the association, all sorts of statistics about the ships of the Lakes...tankers, freighters, self-unloaders, barges, passenger, car ferries, etc., managers and owners, information about grain elevators, ore unloading docks, coal facilities. maps of the harbors,...and wonderful advertisements. This evening I will be offering some very early, very scarce editions...and these early ones were a different size, 5" x 6.5". I have rarely seen copies from this era in this amazing condition. Here is the volume from 1925...semi-hard leatherette cover...very good condition with a tight binding. 435 pages.
