I picked up these art pieces while I was in Thailand as a PeaceCorps volunteer between 1976 and 1978. They were purchased at the Buddhist Temple in Bangkok where they weremade. Ancient Thai temple walls areoften covered in stone relief craving of scenes from the Thai epic mythRamakien. Temple rubbings were made by an artist who would place a piece ricepaper, on the surface of a temple wall which has raised relief carvings, andtransfers the surface carving onto the paper by rubbing with oil pastels. In an effort to preserve historic sites, theseare no longer allowed to be crafted. Theseare in good shape with some typical rice paper flaws, folds and creases; thatwill disappear when properly mounted on mat board. This group of three includes two that areapproximately 20.75 inches by 11.5 inches in size and one that is 21 inches by 22inches in size. I will be selling 6groups of these. They will be mailed rolledup in a tube. I will combine shippingcosts for multiple purchases
