Gustavsberg Argenta Pottery Vase With Inlaid Silver Designed by Wilhelm Gustavsberg Argenta Pottery Vase With Inlaid Silver Designed by Wilhelm Kage. Condition is "Used". Estate Find. It has a turquoise mottled glaze. A silver decoration is overlaid in the top rim and on the edge of the base. One side displays an inlaid silver griffin. This stoneware vase is about 76-1/4" inches tall, about 2-1/2" inches wide at the outside diameter of the opening and about 5 inches wide at the shoulder of the vase. The bottom is marked in silver with: GUSTAVSBERG, Anchor Symbol, ARGENTA, 1079, II. MADE IN SWEDEN is stamped in gold. I believe it was made sometime in the 1930's. This is a fine example of the GUSTAVSBERG ARGENTA line of art pottery; good size, no cracks, nicks, or scratches.
