Your bidding on one good tin friction toy from the 1950's that was made by "HAJI" in Japan, It is marked with the 'HAJI' Logo and "Made in Japan" on the rear of the truck. It Should be noted: The DUMP mechanism on this truck is proprietary to HAJI during the 1950's....when the handle (see the 5th photo) is cranked the faux' hydralic piston slowly ' The toy has three minor issues that I can see nothing very serious but must be mentioned. 1st, The Dump body, Rear Tailgate piece is missing, 2nd the front Red metal piece inside the dump body seems to have been re-worked? or something because it does not seem to fit quite right but it still looks OK and, 3rd, The two front hubcaps do not match the other ones on the rear so I think the front ones are replacement hubcaps. This great looking 1950s HAJI Dump Truck is 8-1/2" in length and about 3-1/2" wide. It looks to me like it was modeled after the WWII U.S. Army 6 x 6 Trucks, but that's just my guess The truck has a friction motor that powers the front wheels, the friction motor runs strong & smooth. The paint is all-original and is in very good overall condition with some minor scrapes and nicks to the paint here & there. The black bottom metal is solid but shows some scraping. This is a great looking dump truck from Haji that needs a little work to be perfect but looks awesome sitting read more
