Archaic Handheld Grinding Mortar. Brownish hard-stone that measures 3-3/4" across by approximately 2" thick. The bowl area is 5/8" deep. It has several hatch marks on the bottom of it. Bought with boxes of several other nice stone items at a Central Kentucky auction. It is good condition, don't have a pestle or grinding stone to go with it , but was told handheld it likely had a small round stone. I am needing some serious money for college so selling it at cost. It is not nor should be implied as authentic since I do not possess paperwork on these items. It is an extremely nice collectible. There is no history to go with this item.
