This figurine is a mystery to me. It is two tone (black and clear) and has an applied molded foot as was used on various Murano tourist trade items in the 60's . The duck itself is consistent with the "Daffy ducks" produced by Whitefriars but without the "controlled bubbles". There actually are a couple of very small bubbles but this is obviously unintentional. I have struggled to try and determine where it was made and by whom - and give up ! It is, however, skillfully made and very attractive. A perfect item for a ("daffy") duck hugger ! The figurine/paperweight is a clever combination of black and clear, on a clear foot. It is about 5 3/4 inches high, 3 3/4 front to back and the base is 2 inches in diameter ( 14cm high, 7cm long and 5cm diameter base) It weighs 300 grams and the condition is excellent - " as new" with no visible damage what-so-ever.
