Handwritten Journal September 1st 1940 - June 30th 1943 213 pages This journal is part of many items found at an estate sale of the the late John Overholt, originally from Western Pennsylvania and later Rochester NY, where he was employed by The Eastman Kodak Company. This journal details many events, from the start of WWII and many war updates along the way, to many sports score updates and everyday life during a time the Country was at war Examples of entries - September 10, 1940 " This is the sixth day of a brutal bombing of London by five hundred bombers of the Nazis" - October 8, 1940 "The sports miracle of the year occurred in the recent world series between Cincinnati and Detroit when 41 year old reserve Jimmy Wilson stole the only base in the seven battles." - May 18th 1942 " National Biscuit Co. salesmen are forbidden to use their cars for work starting today" So many more historical and everyday references that provide a glimpse into the past and a different perspective for those who lived through those times.
