Auction is for a gently used tea pot manufactured by Hasami Porcelain from Nagasaki, Japan. This particular tea pot is in their unglazed natural colorway. It is designed to patina and wear with age. I purchased this tea pot about 3 years ago from Tortoise General Store in Los Angeles, one of Hasami's licensed North American dealers. I used the pot about a half-dozen times to brew tea, mostly black tea. As you can see in the last three images (which are of this specific tea pot), it has started to patina on the lid and on the side.Please not that my photographs (the last three) make the tea pot appear darker than it is.
