**STUNNING!!! **RARE HAVILAND & LIMOGES PINK BALTIMORE ROSE BIG SERVING BOWL ** ***STUNNING HAVILAND LIMOGES FRANCE BALTIMORE ROSE LG SERVING BOWL PRETTY ROSES HEAVY GOLD*** This is a beautiful Haviland Limoges Baltimore Rose large serving bowl with elegant shades of pink roses and gold pattern... The Baltimore Rose is very rare and hard to come by... This handles make this a very special serving piece that you rarely run across... The pattern features large roses is pretty shades of pink delicately whisping across the inside of the dish/bowl.The edges are scalloped and heavily touched with bright gold. . These Roses and colors are beautiful. Please be sure to look at the photos carefully to make sure it matches your pattern as there are many patterns that look a lot alike. 0 This piece is made of the finest Haviland Limoges Porcelain. This fine porcelain was made from clay that came only from the Limoges region of France. The Haviland brands are one of the most famous and sought after makers of Limoges china. This is a serving bowl...The BALTIMORE ROSE pattern is rare and hard to find...It makes this a must have for collectors. This dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or flakes, there is little wear to the pattern... as well as a few pin hole sized factory pits... see pic with the red ex. Theres a light line at the bottom of the pattern that looks similer to stacking.It measures 10 inches in diameter. It stands 2 1/4 inches tall. As with all antique china, there may be a factory glaze skip or dot, but nothing that takes away from this beautiful piece. I normally sell items from sets and most Haviland patterns have slight variations in the amount and placement of the pattern designs on the individual pieces making very few pieces in the same set identical. Photos are brighter than the item. THIS IS A SERVING BOWL..IT HAS A FABULOUS UNUSUAL LIMOGES PATTERN, SO DONT MISS IT!!!! The marks on the bottom of this piece are HAVILAND OVER FRANCE IN GREEN...HAVILAND & CO OVER LIMOGES. in red. The history of LIMOGES Porcelain is interesting, Limoges porcelain designates hard-paste porcelain produced by factories near the city of Limoges, France beginning in the late 1700s, but does not refer to a particular manufacturer. In 1841 Haviland decided to establish his own china factory in Limoges, France, taking advantage of the rich findings of kaolin (china clay) in the area as well as of the presence of local craftsmanship due to a long tradition in china manufacturing. The high quality clay gives the porcelain its strength and pure white color, one of the reasons why Limoges porcelain is so collectable.
