This is a German cigarette redemption book. Contains a full color sticker of Hawaii's surf legend Duke Kahanamoku, Father of Modern Surfing. This is an original German Cigarette Card Collector book from 1932 about the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The book is designed to hold a total of 200 photographic cards in black/white and in colour. These cards would have been available for sending away tokens collected with certain packs of cigarettes in Germany in 1932. The book and the cards have been issued by Reemtsma Cigarettenfabriken Altona-Bahrenfeld. The book is hardback with very nice gold embossed Olympic Rings front cover design. The book itself covers all of the sports of the Olympic Games with many cigarette cards of competition winners and of the competition and the spirit of the Games itself. Sports like Boxing, Athletics, Fencing, Rowing, Football, Swimming, Cycling and so on are all covered here. The book also covers the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid of that year. Bob Sleigh, Sledging, Skiing, Ice Hockey and more all covered. The book also lists all competition winners and all places...and the back of the book contains a fold out chart with graphs representing the 11 most successful nations and their medal wins in a kind of points system..with the USA being the highest scoring nation of the Game by a huge margin. read more
