This auction is for a Depression era Beverage set of vintage Hazel Atlas cobalt glasses in the "Dogs on Parade" pattern, including a serving carrier, an Aurora bowl, and tongs.During the 1930's, Hazel Atlas produced a line of glassware, primarily in cobalt, called the Sportsman series. It is highly collectible today and is seen in many different patterns. This pattern is referred to as the "Dogs on Parade".W to start on describing this terrific set?????The 8 gorgeous glasses stand 4 7/8 inches tall and measure 2 3/4 inches in diameter across the top. They each have 4 different dogs on them in white.The glass is in excellent shape and free from any nicks, chips, scratches, or rough edges. The white paint/decals of the dogs are all in outstanding condition. I hesitate from using the word mint, but these are as close as it gets! Clearly, this set has not been used and has been stored and admired since its production in the 1930's.The Aurora bowl serves as the ice bowl in this set. It is in flawless condition. It stands 2 3/4 inches tall and measures 6 5/8 inches across the top in diameter.The tongs are really classy - with their "scales" on the handle and reptile feet for picking up the ice. T is no rust on them, but they are tarnished. I do not know what kind of metal they are made out of.The serving caddy is metal and holds the 8 read more
