HB Quimper Decor Riche Octagonal Bowl Breton Playing BombardeThis Décor Riche bowl is 9 1/4" across, 1 3/4" deep. The center features a young Breton in the great outdoors practicing playing his bombarde, or horn. He's wearing a typical hat with streamers, checked pants and wooden sabots. The center is circular, the outer edge octagonal, which makes a nice contrast. The rim has a ridge at each corner and is decorated with blue on blue Décor Riche. The painting is very well done.Now for the bad news. There is one small chip on the underside at 9:00. There is some mild crazing in the middle. And there is some kind of staining surrounding the Breton. I don't know what it is, but doubt it can be removed. It still makes a good serving piece.If you buy more than one item, I am happy to combine them to save on postage. Please wait for a combined invoice.
