**AMAZING** c1850 VICTORIAN 12K ROSE GOLD ORNATE LINK NECK CHAIN-35gm From my own private collection, I am so thrilled to offer this is AMAZING Victorian 12K Rose Gold neck chain that is SO ORNATE and HEAVY ... simply one of a kind...you will NOT be disappointed ! Its over 20 INCHES IN LENGTH AND THE LINKS ARE SOLID NOT HOLLOW - IT IS ROSE GOLD THAT ANTIQUE PINK GOLD COLOR SO HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER.... JUST A PERFECT VICTORIAN NECKLACE ! It has the most gorgeous ETRUSCAN MOTIFE LINKS that i have had the pleasure to come across .. and is complete with fob clasp.....just gorgeous! I have sold many of these.. but not with these Fabulous style of hand carved SOLID links ..two distinct alternating designs ..similar to a Bookchain necklace.. Please take time to look at all the photos to see this incredible piece..I tried to take photos from all different angles so you could see its absolute beauty ! This is an Early Victorian piece but may also be Georgian .... The Elongated links are SO silky smooth and Shiny .. and exudes elegance from a Bygone Era HISTORY It is Circa 1850 by design and styling...and it came from a British estate. These heavy rose gold neck chains are becoming VERY RARE in this UNIQUE style and weight and LENGTH... so dont miss this one... I will be watching this auction with extreme interest due to it being a RARE find ! It has its original fob to use as the locking clasp for this necklace and the Elongated links are SOLID NOT HOLLOW.. and would look fabulous with a locket suspended from it or simply PERFECT on its own...and this really makes a statement ! DESCRIPTION and SIZING It is not hallmarked for gold content but the outer surface tests positive for 12 karat gold and it was sold to me as 12k rose gold with Rolled Gold end embellishments. Antique Rolled Gold is considered to be equivalent in quality to todays low karat gold. This one is of a lovely quality, and I have one of these and these look great for everyday wear with any outfit ... ....I wear mine constantly.....as it has a hand crafted links , and you can simply attach a locket WITHOUT removing the chain.. as in a Bookchain necklace.... .so very versatile..!! It is a fabulous antique soft rose gold color, .that pink rose gold so highly sought after ! The links are AMAZING .. The long links have carvings on the edges consisting of scrolls and little tendrils or buds.. .....so INTRICATE.and the connecting links are also AMAZING as they are a SOLID curblink with carved edges.. ..both of the link styles catch the light with every turn ! ..... if you look at the larger pictures , , you can see these Etruscan links and really look stunning..very eyecatching. T has been an extender added at some time on either side of the necklace in keeping with the period and is carved rolled rose gold curb links.. a beautiful finish to this piece. It is in FABULOUS antique condition . It sparkles beautifully, and catches the light with every turn, .....and this WILL get noticed and admired ! The long bookchain style links measure 1" in length by 1/4" in width and the connector links in the measure 1/2" overall .. and the overall 20 1/2" length looks fabulous on the neckline and which is a lovely length for a large locket..so very flattering ...but HONESTLY THIS LOOKS FABULOUS WORN ON ITS OWN... The fob is very secure with plenty of spring and tension . I have not cleaned the chain.. but it is SO SHINY and it will look even more beautiful with a clean, and will leave this to the new owner. It really is exquisite , and will one day become a lovely family heirloom piece to hand down to future generations. It weighs approx 35 grams which further adds to its appeal ! I will be watching this auction with interest as this is truly the most UNIQUE and AMAZING heavy neck chain i have had the pleasure to sell..and have NEVER seen another quite like it .!
