I am liquidating a family member's collectibles and have for auction this Herend Pair of Ducks in Rust Fishnet design, purchased circa 1960's.This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other visible flaws. I do not have the original box. This figurine currentlysells for $400+ in retail setting.The fishnet décor adorning these ducks first took form in 1858 when a Herend painter became inspired by a fishscale design he saw on a Chinese porcelain plate and painted a similar pattern onto a rooster figurine to imitate feathers. The rest is history, with the fishnet design now a Herend signature prized worldwide.Enhanced by accents of 24k gold. Hand painted. Superior quality white porcelain. Dimensions: 2 3/4 inches high x 4 1/4 inches long.
