Pair of nd Rothschild Bird China Candleholders # 7915 / RO These candleholders measure approx. 6" in height, and 5 1/8" in diameter at their base. Stamped on bottom: nd Hungary Handpainted 7915 / RO These candleholders are in excellent condition!No cracks, chips, or repairs! Many connoisseurs consider the Rothschild Bird pattern, first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe, to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain. Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild, who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
