This is a SUPERIOR example of a HERSCHEDE Banjo Clock in NEAR PERFECT condition. It was made circa 1920. It is a very happy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. Runs Great! Herschede Clocks are one of the very finest clocks ever made. Made In the USA! Herschede grandfather clocks are now bringing between $20,000.00 and $50,000.00 at auctions. Extremely high quality – and this clock is no exception to be sure. It has been very well cared for with the case and movement in superior condition. With a time only 8 day lever movement! It measures 27 inches high 7 1/2 inches wide and 2 ¾ inches deep. It has a signed "Herschede Clock Co" heavy duty 8 day time only movement. The case is also beautiful! The case is made of solid walnut with a classic style in very beautiful almost like new condition. Has a beautiful original finish in great shiny condition. The signed dial is the original dial, and is in great condition. Has its original glass on the front with original designs. This clock has an adjustment for fast and slow at the back of the dial. The bezel (the metal around the dial) is in perfect condition. (See picture) Everything is original to the case – t are no extra screw holes, and the screws are very tight. The metal around the dial (bezel) is original (no extra screw holes). Complete with a key. This particular clock is a very happy clock as it is a strong, happy runner! These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working after nearly 90 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 100 years!
