Really eye-catching, with large impressive size, beautiful design, exceptional detail and in excellent condition ! This large eye-catching center bowl was made in Wedgwood's famous Blue and White Jasperware color combination, and it is really attractive. The side of the bowl is decorated all around with a band of large applied White Jasperware classical figures, trees and foliage. The rim of the bowl is further decorated with a carefully modeled band of white oak leaves and acorns, and the footed base is decorated with a band of acanthus leaves . The detail present in the molded figures is exceptional: you can see every fold in the costumes, every individual leaf in the floral garlands; even the tiny, tiny fingers of the classical figures are all clearly visible ! I've posted close-up pictures so you can see this exceptional workmanship and detail for yourself ! This beautiful bowl is a large, impressive size: It measures a full 8 inches across the "fattest" part of the body; is 7.75 inches across the decorated opening, is 5 inches tall, and sits on a footed base that is 5.25 inches across. This great example of Wedgwood's world-famous Jasperware is impressed on the bottom of the base with "Wedgwood", "Made In England" and "69" for the year of manufacture, 1969.
