This stone carving was handcarved in northern India by artisans whom I met while travelling overland from China/Tibet/Nepal many years ago. If you look closely at the photos below, you'll see that a second smaller elephant is carved inside the lattice work of the larger (please don't ask me how they do this, I still don't know :) This elephant statue measures approximately 6" long, stands 4 3/8" high, and weighs approximately 2 lbs 8 oz - the statue pictured below is the exact one you will receive.
