This 3 Day Auction is a custom-painted and built heavyweight 12-2 Pullman "White River". This is an accurate car built to Pullman Plan #4046A. This car ran for NYC, Pittsburgh & Lake Erie and in the Bar Harbor Express consist until it was wrecked on the New Haven on July, 1955. This is a premier, professional effort with many quality extras (this is a clean car-no glue marks on the car or the windows!).I put many hours of work into this one-of-a-kind car and it's a beauty! While Walthers and Branchline provided railroaders with terrific Pullman cars, niche Pullman cars are, for the most part, neglected. I don't know whether this car was ever offered in brass, but this model is ready-to-run and looks and runs great. A great deal of patience, expertise and attention to detail was put into this magnificent car. This Pullman parlor car began as a stock Rivarossi 12-1 before it was painstakingly converted into an accurate Plan #4046A sleeping car. The body was heavily reworked using NERS, Bethlehem Car Works, Branchline and American Limited parts. Accurate underside with Pullman mechanical air conditioning. Accurate roof a/c ducts on both sides. Full accurate interior and NYC Pullman etched glass for lavatories.Livery is Pullman Green with Dulux Gold lettering. Car bolsters have been lowered to give the car a more prototypical look. Branchline
