In 2000 this medalion was issued to commemorate 100 years of the annual Hobo Day Celebration at Britt, Iowa. The medal weighs almost one ounce (0.9 oz). The finish on this coin is antique nickel. The coin also exists with an antique bronze finish. You can have either the antique bronze or the antique nickel finish. If you don't specify, I will send the antique nickel finish as that is what is suggested in my headline for this item. The reverse shows an "American Steam Locomotive 440 Type". The obverse shows the famous Britt Hobo design and these words . . . "Celebrating 100 Years, 1900-2000, Britt, Iowa". The coin is uncirculated. It will be better than the illustration, which is actually a photocopy of one of the coins.. The starting bid is 99 cents with no reserve. Shipping is free. The coin may be returned for whatever reason. Hobo Day is a great celebration. It is always in early August during sweet corn season. It is a beautiful coin. No hobo nickel collection should be without one of these silver dollar-sized hobo coins. No insurance available. Shipping only to United States addresses.
