GERMANY 1945. A HOLOCAUST COVER from Buchenwald Concentration Camp to Prague (Modern Czech Republic) On a Pre-Printed Letter Form. The writer - Anton Vandrovic - was probably a "Priveligiert Haeftling" or Trusted Prisoner as writing outside was a rare privilege. Previous letters locate him in Auschwitz, presumably making him a potitical prisoner or Schuetzhaeftling. The printed letter form enclosed in the cover bears a 12 pf Stamp. SG 776 and the address Block 33 Buchenwald. The block layout remains and it it is hard not to get choked as one can clearly see the layout at this camp which the East Germans/Russians continued to operate after the war ended to incarcerate political prisoners. Although this is a commercial sale, I would love descendants of Anton Vandrovic to contact me. This is part of an very important collection of Holocaust Covers and Ghetto Judenpost Stamps I will be selling in coming weeks. A unique historical document as well as highly collectable. Please I will be pleased to send further or more detailed scans if requested. - - - - - - - - - - Postage and Packing - - - - - - - - - - We combine postage costs for multiple items to save you money as follows.
