is a very rare 1924 top logo silver plate 7" wide by 3 1/2" tall oyster server / condiment holder from the from the Hotel Bradford. After quite the extensive research, I have narrowed down (based on it being from 1924) to it being from either the Bradford Hotel in Fort Myers Florida (80 room hotel), Storm Lake Iowa (85 room hotel), Bradford New Hampshire, Gonic New Hampshire, or Sedan Kansas. This server would have been used in the dining rooms of the hotel and for room service, and would have been used in connection with the hotel's china for table settings. This is not a souvenir piece; rather, this is the heavyweight type Railroad, Steamship, and Restaurant silverplate. The server is marked with the hotel's logo on the front which shows a crest and the wording "The Bradford" in a banner underneath. The server is the very rare version that has both stands / frames with lids on each side of support w a bottle of Tabasco sauce would go. The server was made by the Gorham Silver Co., is silver soldered, and has the 1924 "Acorn" datemark. The server features some very ornate designs, attaches lids to the holders (which look awesome), and four round feet that the server rest upon. The server does have silver plate wear to inside wells, some light pitting, etc., but overall looks great and it has been properly cleaned. The server would read more
