Up for Auction is a RARE ...Limited collector's plate designed for the University of Texas at Austin to celebrate their Centennial birthday (1883-1983) Plate measures 11 1/4" inches in diameter and is ready to hang on display or to use with dinner service. This plate is crafted of fine china with gold inlay around the rim. Plate is made by Shenango China, in Newcastle, Pennsylvania, right here in the Good Ol' USA !! for Anchor Hocking . This Plate is a Unique collector's design, one of three in a set issued in 1983 (making this a Vintage Plate!!) In 1983, when this set of 3 was issued, it was only the 3rd set of plates issued at that point in time. **These collector's plates were issued by the UT Ex Students' Association, to honor the University. These Centennial plates (this design, plus 2 others in the set), were sold individually or in a set of 3. **In 1983, at the time of their issuance, this individual plate was selling for $55, plus shipping, and was only available for purchase through this Association** At this time, this VINTAGE, COLLECTIBLE, HARD-TO-FIND plate is up for Auction at a low starting bid of only $39.99 and No Reserve!
