FROM a PHILADELPHIA, PA. ESTATE ~ NO RESERVE ~ EXCEPTIONAL, VERY LARGE ANTIQUEBRONZE BUDDHA HUGE ~ IMPRESSIVE ~ CAST BRONZE15-1/2" INCHES TALL 15-1/2" TALL HEAVY ~ 5 lbs-5 oz. For your examination is a genuine bronze or iron Buddha head from a local estate art and antiques collection. Our local antiques shop believes it is early first half to perhapsmid 20th century. It has a wonderful patina commensuratewith age...likely cast in the old sand-casitng method. MEASUREMENTS: LARGE & HEAVY 15-1/2" Tall x 6-1.2" Deep x 6" WideWeighs ~ 5 lbs-5oz.It is made of genuine hot poured bronze. I have included many closeup photos for you to see. Its an amazing piece!This wonderful estate piece has been in the a Philadelphia collection and will ship from the Philadelphia suburbs, not from overseas. I've included many photos for you to examine. CONDITION: The patina is exquisite and shows the usual oxydationand patination that you'd expect in such a piece. The bustis mounted on a post with wooden base. It could use a bit of touch up. There is the appropriate wear; the result, I suspect, of much of handling and touching. As you can see, there are areas of bronze oxydation, pitting, and in general, wear and tear, scratches, dings, holes, etc. that are appropriate to its age.
